Join us for a public forum to discuss how we can get a Green New Deal that ensures a just transition for all and a future that puts people and planet over profit.

Last year, U.N. climate scientists rang the alarm, stating that we need “rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society” in the next 12 years to prevent the dire consequences of climate change. Despite the stated urgency, political leaders continue business-as-usual, continuing fossil fuel production and refusing to act. In Minnesota, pre-construction has already begun on Line 3, yet another pipeline that would dramatically increase the flow of dirty tar sands over sacred indigenous lands instead of leaving it in the ground, where climate science says we need to keep it.

This winter, a bold new resolution was put forth in the U.S. House of Representatives that outlines goals and the basic steps to combat the ecological and social crises threatening life as we know it. Far from perfect, the resolution has garnered broad support as well as intense vilification from the conservative press, big business, and their politicians.
