We'll be having a political discussion on why international solidarity is so important for the working class and what that looks like. We'll also be reflecting on end of semester events and the public forum on immigrant detention we did with the No Cages Minnesota coalition.
- Justin Akers Chacón, author of the recently published Radicals in the Barrio, a rich history of the Mexican and Chicano working class in the U.S., provides a response that sets the record straight for the left on the question of open borders.
- Lucy Herschel argues why it’s time for the immigrant justice movement to reject the familiar three-word solution that’s been touted by Democrats for the past 10 years.
- Summer Coff reports from Madison, Wisconsin, on a demonstration against the U.S. government’s cruel treatment of migrants and refugees.
